An amazing game. It's graphics stand the test of time IMHO, and the gameplay is great. Albeit, I hear the story isn't quite that good. If you're buying this, I do hope it's for Skirmish or MP.. This game has a colorful graphic style and interesting artistic look. The voice acting is fun to listen too, and intro works on windows 7 but not windows 10!! It is a well done old school game with graphics well ahead of its time. I have enjoyed it so far, but play it on windows 7 for the full experience. It is simple point and click thats not complicated. Buying on sale is a must.. Well this game has actuallly a huge potenzial. Made in the mixed Style of Warcraft 3 and Spellforce.Pos: Nice Idea and Concept, not very high demands on your hardware, Many Factions/Races and Units. Long Campaign.Cos: Braindead actually nonexisting AI, Many Bugs and Glitches, very unbalanced, Multiplayer is a Ghosttown with NOONE, tend to crash, Story in the Campaign is often confusing and missleading. Game looks very unfinished cause of elements that just dont fit into the Fanatasy style (like modern tanks and planes that are found in crashsites all over the campaign without any explaining). the Intro video for example makes you hope for some kind of time protal but in game? Not the slightest peek on such...I Play nearly every Strategy game known by Humanity, and i recommend to keep your hands off this one..... Heroes of Annihilated Empires is the Fantasy RTS version of Cossacks. It tries the same thing as Warlords Battlecry and Warcraft 3 did before it by adding RPG elements to it. I want to love the game, but it has to many problems to recommend it. The game looks cool because of it's great artstyle. The campaign is on "normal" gamespeed and this is way too slow. I couldn't find a way to put the gamespeed on "fast". And of course it has a cheesy story and the main character is very unlikeable. The multiplayer mode is better you can put the gamespeed on "fast", but the AI isn't very challenging so you need some friends to enjoy the game after defeating it.The game tries a weird RPG vs RTS mode in multiplayer where you can chose to only play with your hero or go in RTS mode where your hero is deactivated for 30 minutes. You can chose in the options for only using only the RTS mode. In RTS mode the gameplay is very macro oriented and is basically build a better economy and send a bigger army to the enemy. There isn't much use to microing your army. The way of casting spells is horrible and the whole RPG UI is bad. If you have friends who want to play this game it could be pretty cool, but I wouldn't recommend it for the singleplayer or skirmish against the AI.. Its old But its one of the best game i have played. Its a really great game! The problem though, is that its dead. I haven't tried the singleplayer and I heard its pretty bad, but the multiplayer is amazing. Only get it if you are thinking of throwing a LAN party and have other people to play with. Its worth it!. this game has some limitations but its good. One of the most hidden-est gems I've ever come across. It was included in a pack of 10 free games for like $2, I did not expect anything half as good as this. It's Warcraft 3 meets Battle For Middle Earth meets Total War. Controllable heroes, epic fantasy armies, but slightly limited by technology to be majorly epic...but you still get the feel of controlling a massive army.I HIGHLY recommend this game. It's not very long, but it is a ton of fun. $15 might be a lot so it depends how you look at it. I see it as a 2 hour movie costs about $15. For the same price I got 20 hours of entertainment. In that sense it is absolutely worth it. If you don't like spending more than $10 on a game (very understandable) I'd wait for a sale...but definitely pick it up on sale, as long as you're into this sort of genre, you won't be disappointed.
